Recent Shooting

Me and Jade recently went out to the location I have previously talked about, the Hull dock area. We shot some scenes for what we hope will be our open sequence. The shots are mainly of the water and quite picturesque and hopefully will look good and fit the ambiance of the video.

My only worry is that we did not shoot on a HD camera so it could be and issue as we as a team would have preferred to use HD for a more clean and professional outcome.

Location

The images above are taken of the local docks. I think that they are a good fit to my music video as the muted colours are representative of the bleak message the song is sending out. Furthermore the presence of water is a direct link to the baptist theme.

Moreover there is an element of  popular culture in the are as it is a graffiti hot spot, which obviously allows my to make the video present and relevant and intertwining with the rebellious nature of Crystal Castles and their music

Opening Sequence

'And this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ and he who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.'

Using this quote me and jade have decided to use an opening sequence. It will be short and introduce the narrative of the video. The shots will be quite lengthy and focus more on the look than the content and will appear abstract until the whole plot of the video is unraveled.
